Delhi Judicial Service 2020: The High Court of Delhi conducts the Delhi Judicial Service Exam every year for the recruitment of Civil Judges in Delhi High Court. The Delhi Judicial Service exam is conducted in two stages -Preliminary Exam and Main Exam. Candidates who qualify these two rounds are then called for the Viva Voce round (Interview). The preliminary exam is of objective type and the main exam is descriptive type.
Delhi Judicial Service Online Application begins a month before the exam. In 2019, Delhi Judicial Service Registration began in August 2019 and closed in September 2019. The Delhi Judicial Service prelims exam was held in September itself. Likewise, it is expected that the Delhi Judicial Service 2020 exam will be held in September 2020. However, the official dates will be revealed by the Delhi Court on its official website Delhi high court.nic.in.

Delhi Judicial Service Exam - Eligibility
In order to apply for the Delhi Judicial Service Exam, candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility requirements:
- Citizenship of India
- Age Limit: Candidates must be below 32 years of age
- Educational Qualification: Candidates qualified to be admitted as Advocates under Advocates Act, 1961 OR candidates currently practicing as Advocates in India
Delhi Judicial Service Exam - Application Process
Interested candidates need to submit the application online in the prescribed format on the official website of Delhi High Court - Delhi high court.nic.in. Before filling the application form, candidates are advised to read carefully the notification for Delhi Judicial Service Examination and then fill the application form, upload their scanned photograph and signature and submit the application. Candidates must make sure to take a print out of the application form and keep it for future reference. Candidates don’t need to send the printout of the application form to the High Court.
Delhi Judicial Service Exam - Application Fee
The application fee for Delhi Judicial Service Exam is Rs. 1000 for the General candidates and Rs. 200 for reserved category candidates. The application fee has to be paid through Debit Card or Internet Banking.
Delhi Judicial Service Exam - Admit Card
Delhi High Court releases the admit card for the Delhi Judicial Service Exam of all the eligible candidates on its official website Delhi high court.nic.in. No other communication like courier/post/newspaper notification is sent. In order to download the admit card, candidates are required to visit the official website and click on the admit card link. After clicking on the link, candidates need to submit their application details and view the admit card. They must take a printout of the admit card and carry it without fail at the time of examination.

Phase III – Viva Voce
Candidates qualifying the Main Exam will be called for Viva-Voce Round, which will carry 150 marks. Depending upon the combined score, candidates will be shortlisted for Judicial Posts. Candidates need to get at least 50% marks in this round to qualify for the shortlisting process.

The result of Preliminary examination and Main examination is announced separately by the Delhi Court. The final merit list of successful candidates is released on the official website of Delhi High Court. The marks obtained in Main (Written Test) Exam are added to the marks obtained in Viva and the candidate’s position will depend on the aggregate marks. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Objective type exam) by the candidates who are declared qualified for admission to the Main Examination (Written)

Delhi Judicial Service Exam Cutoff 2020
First of all, candidates need to qualify for the preliminary exam. After that, candidates need to clear the Main exam with 50% aggregate marks and 40% marks in each of the four papers. Relaxation of 5% is made for candidates of reserved category. In the last step, candidates need to clear the Viva Voce Round with at-least 50% (45% for Reserved Category) to qualify. The aggregate of the marks obtained in both Viva and written exams will determine the candidate’s selection.
